Vitesse Corporation Acquires TXI Aviation and Forms New Operating Unit
June 7, 2006 – New York, NY In a move that recognizes the dramatic expansion of its strategic jet partnership program, Vitesse Corporation announced today the acquisition of TXI Aviation at Dallas Love Field (Dallas, TX) and the formation of a new operating unit – Vitesse Aviation Services.
Vitesse FlightPartners, one of now two operating units of Vitesse Corporation, offers and operates strategic jet partnerships that provide ownership benefits and services equal to that of a private flight department but featuring the lowest net cost per flight hour of any form of true aircraft ownership. Vitesse FlightPartners exclusively features the midsize Raytheon Hawker 800XP.
“In order to provide the highest possible level of personalized service to our aircraft owners, it is imperative that we own and control our own aircraft maintenance and service providers,” said Jerry Slusser, Chairman. “With the acquisition of TXI Aviation, we have expanded both our geographic coverage and our range of services.”
TXI Aviation brings over 20 years of unparalleled service, safety and expertise to the Vitesse family. It will be re-branded under the Vitesse Aviation Services name but will continue to operate its FBO and aircraft maintenance services with all previous personnel remaining in place. As Vitesse Aviation Services, the Dallas facility will also continue to offer aircraft management and air charter services.
The Dallas facility joins the existing Vitesse Hawker maintenance base in Indianapolis, IN.
